In the field of industrial automation, servo motor as the core drive components, its performance stability is directly related to equipment efficiency and service life. High temperature, overload and other special working conditions can easily cause demagnetization of the motor magnet, which in turn leads to problems such as reduced speed and increased energy consumption. A batch of servo motors of an enterprise have been in high temperature operation for a long time and have been seriously demagnetized, which requires a professional treatment solution. Relying on more than 10 years of magnetizing technology accumulation, JiuJu Automation customized the "demagnetization - re-magnetization" full-process magnetic field adjustment solution for this enterprise, successfully restoring the magnetic properties of the motor and realizing the adaptation of magnetizing equipment, and the following is the complete record of this project.

Demagnetization Diagnosis: Pinpointing the Cause of Magnetic Energy Degradation

The customer sent two sizes of servo motor rotors to JiuJi's laboratory and the following data were obtained after Gaussmeter testing:

  • Small motors: 17.6 GS remanent magnetization before magnetization
  • Large motors: 140.2 GS remanent magnetization before magnetization

Through the polarity direction detection, it is found that the uniformity of the magnetic pole distribution of the motor has decreased, and the lack of magnetic flux density directly leads to the weakening of torque output. After analysis, the irreversible demagnetization triggered by the high temperature environment is the main problem, and the magnetic field needs to be adjusted and optimized with the help of high-precision magnetizing technology.

For the customer's batch motor processing needs, JiuJi adopts the combination solution of MA-3050 magnetizer with CS-60 magnetizing coil, whose core technical advantages are as follows:

1.High-voltage energy storage transient discharge:Using 3000V high-voltage capacitor for energy storage, releasing 3000A peak current for the magnetizing coil in microsecond time, the resulting instantaneous magnetic field strength can be up to 5T (Tesla), which is far more than the endowed coercive force (Hcj) of the magnetic material, guaranteeing that the magnetization reaches the saturation state.

2.Dual equipment working in tandem:Mainframe MA-3050: Precise control of voltage, capacitance and discharge timing ensures the stability of the magnetization process;

3. Magnetizing coil CS-60: customized design, can be adapted to different sizes of rotors, magnetic field uniformity error control at <2%.

4.Verification of Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction:The discharge waveforms were monitored by an oscilloscope, confirming that the magnetic field strength was linearly related to the magnetizing energy, and the measured data matched the theoretical model with 99.71 TP3T.

III. Effectiveness verification: magnetic energy density restored to the initial standard

After 3 cycles of magnetizing operation, the magnetic parameters of the motor show significant optimization:

  • Small motors: 1543GS remanent magnetization after magnetization.
  • Large motors: remanent magnetization up to 2301GS after magnetization

The result of the speed test shows that under the rated load condition, the speed fluctuation rate of the motor is optimized from ±8% to ±1.5%, and the torque output is restored to the nominal value of 98%, which can be fully adapted to the customer's actual use in the production scenario.

Optimization: Recommended Economy of MA-3030 Magnetizing System

Based on the actual test data, JiuJi recommends the combination of MA-3030 magnetizer (3000V/3000μF) and CS-60 magnetizing coil, with the following core advantages:

1. Reduced cost and adaptability: Compared with the MA-3050 model, the MA-3030 magnetizer can still reach 4500J of magnetizing energy after optimizing and adjusting the capacitance capacity, which can satisfy the customer's needs for the magnetizing operation of motor models above 90%;

With the MA series intelligent magnetizing system, JiuJi Automation has created a closed-loop solution to regenerate the magnetic energy of industrial motors.
