Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of intelligent manufacturing system solutions “unveiled” projects in 2025. Ltd. and Baotou Tianhe Magnetic Material Technology Co., Ltd. jointly declared “Intelligent Design and Optimization Control Solution for Rare Earth Permanent Magnet New Material Process” successfully appeared on the list. It is worth mentioning that since the launch of this “List of Commendable” work in 2023, this solution is the only project selected within the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and this achievement signifies that Baotou's technological strength in the field of intelligent manufacturing of rare-earth permanent magnet materials has gained authoritative recognition at the national level.
Rare earth permanent magnet materials are indispensable core materials for high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy vehicles, aerospace and other strategic emerging industries, and the intelligent transformation and upgrading of their production processes is the key support for promoting the high-quality development of related industries. The successfully selected solution hits the technical bottlenecks and industry pain points in the R&D and production of traditional rare-earth permanent magnet materials, and builds a set of whole-process intelligent management and control system from microscopic formula design to macroscopic process regulation and control.
The system deeply integrates multi-scale computing, mechanism modeling and data-driven technology, and realizes two core technology breakthroughs: first, it innovatively realizes the reverse intelligent generation of material formulas, getting rid of the excessive dependence on experience accumulation in the traditional R&D mode, and accurately locating the optimal formulas without repeated trial-and-error experiments; and second, it solves the problem of precise and closed-loop control of key smelting processes, and guarantees the stability and controllability of the whole production process.
